Designed and manufactured by German precision bearing company GRW, they have a heritage of over 20 years supplying these bearings in to the model jet applications.
The 8mm bore x 16mm OD x 6mm wide bearing is fitted with high precision Si3 N4 Silicon Nitride, ceramic balls running in double vacuum melt, high corrosion resistant steel rings. The high micron precision components come together to create a precision instrument in their own right. This combination along with the fact that the bearing is cage-less allows for speeds of up to 160,000rpm and temperatures of up to 300°C.
